What’s on AMA?– Series 6

4 Apr 2025

In the final series of the "What’s on AMA?" content, we’ll explore MVL’s vision for the future of robotaxis and how Musubi and TADA will drive exponential growth in this transition.

Let’s dive in!

Q: As the mobility industry evolves, autonomous vehicles and robotaxis are becoming a major trend. Does MVL have plans to integrate robotaxis into its ecosystem? Since robotaxis could challenge traditional driver-based models, how does MVL plan to navigate this shift?

MVL sees autonomous vehicles and robotaxis not as a threat, but as a natural extension of its ecosystem. As the industry accelerates toward automation, major players like Waymo and Uber have already launched robotaxi services in cities such as San Francisco and Texas. Tesla, too, is preparing to release its own robotaxi fleet to the public, signaling a clear sign that vehicles are transitioning from being driver-operated to fully autonomous.

With no drivers involved, robotaxis shift the focus from labor to ownership. To operate a robotaxi service, someone must own these vehicles, whether it's an individual or an institutional investor. Thereby owning these vehicles, investors/owners gain access to steady revenue through autonomous ride services. This opens up a new opportunity: making robotaxi ownership accessible to potential investors, and ensuring that profits flow back to those stakeholders.

This is where Musubi, MVL’s cross-border vehicle ownership platform, comes in. Musubi converts vehicles into digital NFT assets using blockchain technology. These NFTs represent real-world ownership and enable people around the world to invest in vehicles without going through complex legal processes or intermediaries. Key vehicle data is recorded on-chain to verify the asset’s existence and ensure transparent ownership through NFTs. Investors can then receive a share of the operational revenue those vehicles generate.

Meanwhile, TADA, MVL’s zero-commission ride-hailing service, provides the operational layer. As many robotaxi manufacturers prefer not to operate their own fleets, MVL offers a ready solution. TADA can provide the service system and manage the day-to-day operations, while Musubi connects investors with vehicle suppliers and OEMs. This creates a fully integrated system, with ownership - Musubi, operations - TADA, and data/tokenization - MVL Network working together.

Looking ahead, MVL envisions Musubi becoming a global platform for robotaxi ownership within the next 5 to 10 years. By linking real-world assets and ride revenue directly into the MVL ecosystem, the value created can be retained and scaled while attracting external capital into a trustless, blockchain-based framework.
