throo is now available across all five boroughs of New York City, offering lower fares for riders and fairer earning opportunities for drivers. The service is authorized by the New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC), and both rider and driver apps are available on iOS and Android.
TADA has built its zero-commission ride-hailing model across Southeast Asia, offering a fairer mobility experience by eliminating percentage-based commission fees for drivers. Following TADAโs initiative in Denver, the launch of throo marks another important step in the United States.
Unlike traditional ride-hailing platforms that take a percentage-based commission from driversโ fares, throo applies a small fixed fee per ride. This structure allows drivers to keep more of their earnings while providing riders with a more predictable and affordable fare experience.
Ahead of the official launch, throo opened driver registration and attracted more than 50,000 registered drivers. This strong response reflects growing demand for a fairer ride-hailing model for both drivers and riders.
