1. MVL to start making electric vehicles

MVL is developing electric vehicles!

Let’s find out why MVL decided to make electric vehicles.

MVL’s ultimate goal is to practice ‘Mobility Blockchain’ and it has been studying how to secure high-quality vehicle data.

MVL has been operating TADA in 3 Southeast Asia countries to collect driving data and implement a sound mobility ecosystem.

MVL decided to develop and produce E-Tuktuk vehicles in the South East Asia mobility market along with motor vehicle manufacturing company(participant in Series fund A) to implement an innovative mobility ecosystem.

As E-Tuktuk gets combined with TADA mobility platform, MVL will be able to collect and manage not only driving data but also information related to electric vehicles and batteries within them.

With many more partners being involved in the MVL Ecosystem, MVL is expected to grow as a strong mobility blockchain platform company worldwide.

2. What is E-Tuktuk?

For those who never heard of ‘Tuktuk’, it is a tricycle commonly found in Southeast Asia.

Tuktuk is ‘popular transportation’ with more than 10,000 Tuktuk drivers in the Phnom Penh region of Cambodia alone, where TADA is serviced.

MVL plans to transform Tuktuk to a stylish and eco-friendly electric tricycle(E-Tuktuk) and become a successful electric vehicle market leader in Cambodia.

Some of you may be concerned about the competitiveness of E-Tuktuk compared to the existing Tuktuk which is already well established.

Well, there are many benefits of E-Tuktuk like the following:

  • Eco-friendly: E-Tuktuk is very eco-friendly because it has no emissions of carbon dioxide and other global-warming gases.

  • Better Ride Comfort: E-Tuktuk has relatively low noise and vibration, so it has a better ride and drive comfort compared to internal combustion engine vehicles.

  • Low Maintenance Cost: The maintenance cost for E-Tuktuk is lower than that for the internal combustion engine vehicles, since it is powered by batteries.

3. Participating Companies

MVL's first electric vehicle project was partnered with several auto parts companies.

The most important partner in this project is 'Myongshin'.

Myongshin is a professional automobile plastic parts and filter manufacturer.

It produces the best products in various industries, such as automobiles and electronics.

Myongshin's laboratory at Gunsan Plant was previously a GM plant in Korea.

It was acquired by Myongshin in 2019 for the purpose of producing electric vehicles.

Myongshin develops the entire vehicle, as well as the E-PT and battery packs that are built into the E-Tuktuk.

4. Progress

Currently, MVL has completed E-Tuktuk mechanical prototyping.

On the 14th, the MVL team went to the factory to check mecha prototype assembly and test E-Tuktuk driving.

Please check out the photos and videos below and see how passionate the field engineers are.

Driving Test(2020.5.14)

5. Future plans

MVL plans to sell E-Tuktuk to TADA drivers.

MVL will offer the opportunity to loyal TADA drivers to purchase the first 100 E-Tuktuks.

By 2021, MVL targets to produce and sell 10,000 vehicles in Cambodia.

By supplying E-Tuktuk, MVL expects to secure brand loyalty and lock-in effect of TADA users.

In addition, MVL plans to start off the world’s first electric vehicle-blockchain mobility ecosystem.

Thank you.
