Embracing a Globalizing World with MVL - 1. MVL at one glance

Hello, MVLERs!

The “TADA” service may still be unfamiliar to many of you, so let us help you better understand it.

We will be publishing a series called <Embracing a Globalizing World with MVL> once a week to introduce the MVL team and the TADA service in more detail.

Today, we would like to briefly explain our TADA service, our partners, competitors such as Grab and MVL Incentives.

1. TADA! What is it for?

 

TADA, which is serviced in Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia, can be unfamiliar with MVLERs living elsewhere. TADA is a ride-hailing service that is similar to Kakao T, Uber or Grab.
TADA was created to apply the MVL protocol and is now the hub of MVL because of its fast growth. The TADA service have applied MVL, and MVL is rapidly expanding its service through TADA.

There are many partners of TADA.

In Vietnam, our partners are Lotte Rental, PTI Insurance, Vina Taxi etc.
In Singapore, our partners are OCBC, AXA and Alipay.
Last but not least, in Cambodia, Alipay, Pi Pay, Choice Taxi and Shinhan Bank are our dear partners.
In addition, Binance Chian and Omisego are partners of the MVL protocol, which is the foundation of TADA service operations.
We will further explain how the partners mentioned above are supporting the TADA service in our country-specific series that will be published in the future.

 

2. What makes TADA different from Grab

Since TADA provides the same ride-hailing service as Grab, there are some commonalities and differences in our terms of services.
Our MVL holders may have wondered what makes TADA different from Grab. Let us provide an explanation.

 

#Zero Commission & Reasonable Pricing

Grab sets a high commission for each trip and it is charged to the driver. Due to this, Grab drivers used to strike and continue to protest that Grab was taking way too much commission.

TADA is a ZERO commission service because it is a blockchain-based ride-hailing service. The driver will not be charged an operating fee. As a result, TADA drivers get to take the full operating costs that was well earned. This allows for a “win-win” situation between the platform and the drivers while allowing riders to enjoy their trips at a reasonable price.

For those who need to verify whether TADA can offer a more reasonable price than Grab, we have set up a “same time and same place in Cambodia trip” on each app. The route on the map is somewhat different between two apps, but the pick-up and drop-off points are set the same, and the “vehicle type” is also set the same. JustGrab and AnyTADA are services that can call the taxi or private-hire car nearest to the rider, regardless of vehicle type or size.

And the results?




Tada-! By price, TADA was about 25% cheaper than Grab.
Also, if you use the TADA promo code, you can get a 50% discount! This means that you can enjoy a 26-minute trip for only 7,800 riel (about 2,500 won).
TADA also offers discount ride promotions, so it's safe to say that TADA riders can always enjoy a ride at a reasonable price.
Since the price is usually cheaper and you can get a discount with our promo codes, our riders usually do not miss out a chance to call a TADA ride!

 

#Blockchain Incentive

Unlike Grab, TADA gives blockchain-based incentives. We call it "MVL incentives".
For those who are wondering what exactly this incentive is, we will explain it in detail below.

 

#Open-minded Team

As the company is new in the market, the TADA team tried to listen and value every single piece of feedback and suggestion we could from both our riders and drivers. Not only do we have an official Telegram group for feedback, we also have other traditional channels (email, hotline, whatsapp) where we can hear more feedback from our users.

Drivers can voice out their opinion about TADA freely to the admins on the TADA official Telegram group chat. The Telegram group chat is a new initiative in the ride-hailing industry. The admins in our Telegram group patiently read each and every message shared by our users and are always eager to respond to all the feedback. It is a really useful tool to get quick responses from the TADA admins for issues or providing suggestions and feedback.

Therefore, many of our feedback and suggestions have been implemented through constant app updates. These implementations include the In-app Chat, Heatmap, Improved Routing System, Auto Dispatch and Instant Cash-out, to name a few.

 

3. What is the MVL incentive?

When both drivers and riders take a trip through the TADA app, they both contribute to the MVL ecosystem. This is because every single trip is recorded as data. In exchange for providing data to MVL, MVL provides contributors with ‘MVL Points’.
Let's look at how a driver typically gains MVL points.

By contributing to the MVL ecosystem as described above, he can earn “MVL Points”' for each contribution.
Also, ‘MVL points’ can be deducted for wrongful behavior.
Wrongful behaviors are defined in the following manner.

If so, what can our “MVL point” holders do with these points?
First, they can collect points and exchange them for “MVL”.
We are also envisioning additional benefits, such as calculating insurance or trip values with the points.

MVL Incentive started its beta launch in Singapore this year, followed by Vietnam and Cambodia. The MVL incentive system are now available in all three countries.
After the introduction of the MVL incentive, the trip completion rate has increased by about 20%.
The MVL team will continue to do our best to make MVL incentive the signature point of MVL, so please stay tuned!

 

4. Epilogue of Week 1

Now, do you understand a little bit more about the TADA service?
Starting next week, we'll introduce more details about the TADA service in the individual countries, and show you photos of MVL team overseas and share staff interviews!
Next Friday, we will show you more about MVL TADA Vietnam service.
